The Next Best Thing to Chicken Wings
The weather here is finally gorgeous! As summer approaches, there's nothing better than a get-together or cookout with family and friends. If you want to skip the chicken wings, this might be the next best thing. This protein-packed dip is always a crowd pleaser and incredibly easy to make. I like to make mine with less fat and it still tastes incredible!
Buffalo Chicken Dip
Ingredients:
2, 16oz cans of fully cooked chicken, 98% fat-free (1 can has over 60 grams of protein!)
12oz Texas Pete Buffalo Wing Sauce
Colby/Jack shredded cheese ( You can also use 2%, anything less than this I have found the cheese does not melt or taste as good)
8oz Lite Cream Cheese ( Can't even tell it's not the real thing)
Lite Ranch Dressing
Celery
Tortilla Chips
9 x13 or 8 x 12 oven safe dish
I like to prep this ahead of time and put uncooked in the refrigerator. Do not bake in the oven until ready to serve. Serve hot for best taste!
Spread cream cheese on bottom of the dish. Drain chicken and place into separate bowl. Add 12 oz of Texas Pete Buffalo Wing Sauce with chicken and stir with a fork until chicken is shredded. If you want less spice, use less sauce. Pour mixed chicken/sauce over cream cheese. Drizzle Lite Ranch dressing on top of the chicken mixture. Top with Colby/Jack shredded cheese. Cover dish with tin foil. Preheat oven to 350. Bake in the oven for 22-25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve with tortilla chips or for fewer carbs and calories, dip with celery sticks! Yum!
Cheers to warm weather!
